The Friends of the East Greenwich Free Library would like to thank the Town Council and the Chamber of Commerce for making October 21-27, 2012 National Friends of the Library Week.

The East Greenwich Free Library is a cornerstone of our community, providing opportunities for all to engage in the joy of life-long learning. The Friends of the East Greenwich Free Library, an all-volunteer organization, shares the vision of superior free library services accessible to all. Our mission is to support and enhance library services and programs by  providing resources for additional programming, much needed equipment beyond the library’s budget, and special events throughout the year. The Friends’ gift of their time and commitment to the library is an example of how volunteerism leads to positive civic engagement and sustainable community development.
