The EG Little League 8-year-old Friendship Team made it to the Coventry Little League 2012 Fifth Annual AA Tournament finals on July 28-29. After three weeks of tournament play consisting of 12 tournament teams from across the state, the EG team won Championship Game 1 Saturday night 4-0 to an undefeated Warwick West Side Team. They lost 8-7 in the hard fought double-elimination championship final game on Sunday.

The EGLL 8-year-olds finished the tournament with an impressive 9-3 record, defeating all but one team (on three occasions) in the entire tournament.
