The Literacy Volunteers of Kent County is teaming with The Chocolate Delicacy to raise awareness and funds for its reading programs.

During the month of February, The Chocolate Delicacy will be selling "Chocolates for a Cause" bars to benefit the program.

Bars are $5.00 each, and $1.00 of each will support literacy programs.  Bars are made on the premises, and are the same high quality chocolate used in all Chocolate Delicacy candies.

Approximately 1 out of every 5 Rhode Island adults cannot:

• Fill out a job application
• Observe safety signs at work
• Understand a prescription bottle
• Read a bedtime story
