Rhode Island Youth Theatre is now accepting registrations for Disney's "The Little Mermaid, Jr."

Registration is now open for Rhode Island Youth Theatre's (RIYT) February 2013 school vacation week program, Disney's "The Little Mermaid, Jr."

The program is open to student performers ages 7 to 14.

Don’t miss this opportunity to perform in this magical Disney musical, based on the Hans Christian Andersen tale and the wildly popular Disney film.

Casting and regular rehearsals will take place at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church Auditorium, 99 Peirce St.  East Greenwich, RI. Dress rehearsals and performances will take place at East Greenwich High School, 300 Avenger Drive, East Greenwich, RI  02818.

All rehearsals and performances will take place during February school vacation week, Feb. 16 through Feb. 24.

All students that register will be cast in the show.

Registration is $300, with $100 due at time of registration.  Sibling discounts and scholarships are available. 

Casting will take place Saturday, Feb. 16 from 9 a.m. to noon at St. Luke's. Regular rehearsals will be held Monday tthrough Thursday, Feb. 18-21, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. -- with early drop off: 8:30 a.m. -- at St. Luke’s. Dress rehearsals are Friday, Feb. 22 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.  and Saturday, Feb. 23 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at East Greenwich High School.

There will be performances on Saturday, Feb. 23at 7 p.m. and Sunday. Feb. 24 at 4 p.m. at East Greenwich High School. Tickets are $10 in advance; $12 at the door or online ($12 price includes a $2 convenience fee; major credit cards & PayPal^tm accepted online.)
