E.G. Filmaker Chad A. Verdi Announces R.I. Premiere Of 'Infected'
The public is invited to the one-day/night-only showing of Infected on Thursday, October 25, at Showcase Cinemas (Division Rd). Show times are 1pm, 3pm, 5pm, 7pm, 9pm. Tickets are available now at www.movietickets.com or at the box office. Infected, a horror/zombie thriller set in the woods of New England, centers around Terry, an absentee father (Michael Madsen, Reservoir Dogs, Kill Bill), and his son Andrew (Tom DeNucci, Inkubus, Loosies) who must fight for survival when their small, close-knit hunting group becomes infected with a virus that originated from a rabid deer they killed and consumed. The infection causes the crew, including Doctor Denehey (William Forsythe, Boardwalk Empire, The Devil's Rejects), to become homicidal and violent, developing an insatiable, cannibalistic thirst for humans. In this modern day Night of The Living Dead, the father and son duo are forced to relinquish old friendships as their former hunting buddies become...Infected.
"I'm thrilled to show Infected to friends and family, and horror film fans in Rhode Island," said Chad A. Verdi, president of Verdi Productions and The Woodhaven Production Co. "Everyone will be sitting on the edge of their seats!"
Screen Media Films recently purchased Infected and will distribute it in select theaters nationwide now through November 9. In early 2013, Screen Media Films will release Infected worldwide through Video-On-Demand, reaching over 100 million homes. Verdi added, "The VOD platform that Infected will be released on...is a filmmaker's dream."
