Thanks For Supporting Pumpkin Patch Fundraiser
Your attendance and participation in the Pumpkin Patch and Harvest Festival fundraiser sponsored by the East Greenwich United Methodist Church, Frenchtown Baptist Church and the East Greenwich Rotary helped to raise $4,500 to support EG resident Janice Wray and her family. Approximately 1,200 pumpkins were sold.
Janice, a URI nursing student, suffered serious injury in a car accident on April 1, which left her paralyzed and in a wheelchair. After almost four months in hospitals she has come back home to her family and now faces a new path of healing and recovery within her local community. While her positive spirit and determination to overcome and succeed is remarkable and an inspiration to many, the road ahead for her promises to be long and arduous, with many as yet unknown obstacles and medical expenses.
