The RI Pet Network Links Adoptable Pets From Around The State
If you haven’t gotten a chance to check out the RI Pet Network on Facebook, you definitely should! The RI Pet Network is a social media community that helps connect animals in need with animal lovers all across Rhode Island.
What is great about this network is that you don’t have to individually follow all of the shelters and animal rescue leagues in RI. The RI Pet Network does that for you, posting the most important updates from each organization for you to see in one common place.
The page deals mostly with dogs and cats, including stories on when they are up for adoption, when animals are sick, lost or missing, when organizations are in need of help with fundraising, upcoming shelter events, and even local news stories.
From the East Greenwich Animal Protection League to the West Warwick Animal Shelter and on, this network has helped hundreds of Rhode Island pets so far, and that is only the beginning! With 725 “followers”on Facebook, the news about these cats and dogs in need is spreading quicker than ever. So many people have helped to save these animals lives ... all beginning with the posts from the RI Pet Network. Anyone who joins the Facebook page can also leave comments to help spread the word about an animal that they know who is in need. It is win-win for both the people of Rhode Island and their beloved pets.
On their page they state they "welcome anyone who loves animals and/or works with animals to join and post about relevant topics. By building a large social network, we’ll be able to spread the word quickly about desperate situations and hopefully help quickly as well!”
