An Auction, A Meeting, A Jam & More

Five things you need to know about East Greenwich today, Feb. 27.

School: It’s BACK. Homework, PTG, projects, tests, lunch money (!), after-school activities … get ready!

Town Council meeting: You won’t want to miss tonight’s meeting because the school fields memorandum of understanding is on the agenda! That’s right. We’re talking MOU. The meeting starts at 7 p.m. at Town Hall.

Briarbrook Antiques & Fine Art Auction: The preview begins at 11 a.m. with the auction beginning at 5 p.m. with more than 100 box lots. The main auction begins at 6. At the Varnum Armory.

Open Jam Night: The Greenwich Hotel’s Open Jam session takes place every Monday night. All musicians are welcome and even non-musicians with rhythm can join in on the percussion instruments. This is Open Mic with a twist. It is a more relaxed format. You are encouraged to jump in and start playing. This makes for an interesting and unique night of music. A full PA set up with mics, cords, bass amp, electronic drum kit, bongos, djembe and other percussion instruments are available. 7 p.m.

Weather: Early spring is back, with high temperatures in the 50s. Awesome!
