E-Waste, Book Sale, Bunny Hop & More

Five things you need to know about East Greenwich today, April 14.

 


E-Waste collection drive: Bridge Technical Solutions is hosting a computer and electronics collection event this morning to benefit the First Evangelical Lutheran Church. If you have old or unwanted electronics that you wish to dispose of, take them to the Texas Roadhouse parking lot anytime between 9 a.m. and noon.  here will be trucks set up in the parking lot to receive your e-waste. A minimum $1 fee per small item is highly encouraged with a higher fee ($5 or $10) for larger items. The fee will be waived for those unable to donate. Check out the list of items you can drop off.

Spring Rummage Sale: The First Baptist Church of East Greenwich holds its annual spring rummage sale starting today from 8 a.m. to noon. In the church hall across the street from the church on Peirce Street.

Giant Book Sale: The music program at St. Luke’s Church is back at it, selling all variety of gently used books. If you need some reading material for the warm weather days ahead, now’s the time to pick up some great books, cheap! The sale goes from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Bunny Hop 5K: Today’s the day! You can run or walk the EG Track Club’s inaugural Bunny Hop 5K at Goddard Park. There will be an egg hunt, a fun run, and of course the main event. Registration starts at 8 a.m.; 1-Mile Fun Run starts at 9 a.m.; Egg Hunt gets under way at 9:30 a.m.; and the 5k Run/Walk sets off at 10:30 a.m. To find out more, click here.

Transfer Station open: Today’s the one day of the week that the Transfer Station’s open all day — from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. And remember, the EG Transfer Station’s got the best view in town!
