Five Things: Divorce Care, Winter Pictures
Your guide for life in East Greenwich today, Jan. 9.
Venus and the Moon: If you were up early this morning, maybe you saw the waning crescent moon paired up with the dazzling planet Venus in the southeast sky before sunrise tomorrow. If you did see it, tell us about it in the comments.
Divorce Care group: This is a friendly, caring group of people who will walk alongside you through one of life’s most difficult experiences. People who understand what you are going through and want to help, lead the sessions. There will be a 30-40 minute video featuring top experts on divorce and recovery subjects, followed by a discussion and sharing time. Sessions will begin on Thursday, October 25, from 7 to 9 p.m. and will meet at Christ Church Ministry Center (Steeple View Condominiums, 61 Cedar Ave. #1, East Greenwich) for 13 weeks. For more information visit the Christ Church website (www.christchurchec.org), call the church office (884-8632) or email us at: firstname.lastname@example.org .
Christmas Tree disposal this week: The Town of East Greenwich will be picking up Christmas Trees (stripped of decorations and NOT in plastic bags) the week of Jan. 7, on your regular trash pickup day.
Got a great winter pic of EG? Upload it here so it can be in the running for the cover picture on the EG Patch Facebook page. I’ll be collecting the pictures through Friday (tomorrow!) at noon. Voting on the one we like best starts Saturday morning.
Blog for EG Patch: If you have something to say (and don’t we all?), use the blog platform at Patch to do it. Whether it’s writing about your child’s sports team, your area of expertise (i.e. real estate, financial planning, music … ???), or just about life at home (raising children, caring for an aging relative, being single) – we want to hear about it. The process is not hard and there are not requirements – write when you want for as much as you want. Here’s the link to get started: http://eastgreenwich.patch.com/blog/apply.
