Moms of Preschoolers @ Christ Church: MOPS, a program for moms of young children, meeting for encouragement, practical parenting advice and growth both personally and spiritually. MOPS will meet from 9:00 - 11:00am at the Christ Church Ministry Center, 61 Cedar Ave. Unit 1, every other Friday. Cost to register with MOPS International is $23.99 per year. Teen Center: The Teen Center has provided a great place to hang out on Friday evenings for decades now. They meet at the gym at Eldredge School but you don’t have to play basketball to enjoy the camraderie. From 6 to 8 p.m.
EGHS Drama Dept.’s Cabaret 2012: The East Greenwich High School Drama Department presents Cabaret 2012, where drama students will be performing a wide array of Broadway hits. The show starts at 7 p.m. in the auditorium. Tickets (at the door) are $10. Complimentary refreshments while they last.
Blu on the Water’s Halloween Bash: Get ready for Blu on the Water’s first annual Halloween bash tonight and Saturday. There will be $1,000 in prizes both Friday and Saturday nights for the costume contest.

Halloween Parade and Trick or Treat: The parade of characters, spooks, ghosts, and goblins will show off their costumes as the group marches south down on Main Street. The parade begins at Academy Field, with participants meeting there at 9:45 a.m. and the parade starting promptly at 10 a.m. Immediately following the parade, the ever popular Halloween egg hunt will commence at Academy Field. Bring a bag to gather all your eggs. From 10:30 to 12:30 p.m. the Parks & Recreation Department will be sponsoring activities and refreshments at the Town Hall on Main Street. Grab a ride from the horse-drawn hay wagon from the rear of the municipal parking lot, along Marlborough Street. The Hill & Harbour Merchants will kick off their activities with trick or treating in the shops between 10:30 a.m. and noon for children 12 and under who are dressed in a Halloween costume.
