“Movie Under the Stars” outdoor movie postponed to Sunday night: The Town of East Greenwich, with support from the Main Street Association (MSA) of East Greenwich, and the East Greenwich Chamber of Commerce, are pleased to announce that the third annual “Movie Under the Stars” outdoor movie event that was scheduled for tonight at 7 p.m. has been rescheduled for Sunday night, September 9th at Academy Field because of inclement weather. This year’s movie title is “Jumanji,” starring Robin Williams, rated PG. Admission is free, and refreshments will be available on-site for purchase.

Open Garden Day & Harvest Party in Providence: Sponsored by the Providence Community Growers Network, OPEN GARDEN DAY will feature tours of a variety of Providence farms and gardens. St. Francis Sign-Up Weekend: On Saturday, September 8th after the 5:00pm Mass and again after all the Masses on Sunday, September 9th, St. Francis de Sales will host our Sign Up Weekend for Religious Education in the Parish Center. Households not currently registered in the parish are welcome to attend as well as those already participating in the program. Our First Communion and Confirmation preparation classes begin on September 16th and our intergenerational education program, Generations of Faith, begins October 12th.
