Five Things: School Committee, Art Club
Your guide for life in East Greenwich today, Sept. 4.
Trash pickup delayed one day this week: Because of the Labor Day holiday, trash pickup for the whole week is delayed one day. So, if you usually have trash pickup on Mondays, this week it will be Tuesday (today!). Or, for instance, if you usually have trash pickup on Fridays, it will be on Saturday.
School Committee meeting: On the agenda are an update on work at Meadowbrook and a discussion on renting the fields. The meeting is held in the library on the second floor of Cole Middle School at 7 p.m. (The agenda is attached.)
End-Of-Summer Musical Picnic & Sing-Along Tuesday: Sing With B Music Together hosts a fun afternoon of music-making outdoors at Goddard Park. Bring your own picnic and drinks, blankets and chairs, Frisbees, balls, instruments and requests for your favorite songs. They will bring their guitar and cookies to share. From 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
EG Art Club meeting: The EG Art Club holds its monthly meeting tonight at 7 p.m. at the First Baptist Church, 30 Pierce St. The guest artist is Lori Jeremiah, who works with pastels. For information visit our website at: www.eastgreenwichartclub.org or call Ian at 941-3153.
Post your events on our Calendar: If you have something you’d like to see on the EG Patch calendar, upload it by clicking here and finding the “Add an Event” tab on the right. The Events Calendar is my go-to spot for the daily Five Things column. If you want to be featured in Five Things, make sure you post your items on the calendar! And, thanks!
