Five Things: School Committee, Ken Block & More
Your guide for life in East Greenwich today, June 19.
School Committee meeting: Appointment of a new principal for Meadowbrook Farms is on tonight’s agenda, among other things. If you’d like to see the full agenda, it’s attached, right. The meeting takes place in the library at Cole Middle School and starts at 7 p.m.
Land Trust meeting: The Land Trust will be reviewing a three-year plan for Boesch Farm as well as a proposed Eagle Scout project. The meeting will take place at Town Hall, starting at 7 p.m. The agenda is attached.
Audra’s of EG Grand Opening: Same place, almost the same name, but new owners at Audra’s of East Greenwich. After a few “soft opening” weeks, the restaurant is ready for its close up. It takes place this morning at 10 a.m., with a ribbon-cutting and everything!
Ken Block on state politics and the economy: The former Moderate gubernatorial candidate will be at the EG police station’s Community Room at 6:30 p.m to discuss Rhode Island politics and the economy, including 38 Studios and the upcoming elections.
EG Sea Scouts: Sea Scouts is a co-educational program offered to young adults between age 14 and 21. All that’s needed to get involved is a love of water and a desire to learn boating skills. Among the activities are sailing, swimming, scuba diving, fishing, water skiing, and island campouts. The meeting takes place at the East Greenwich Yacht Club at 7 p.m.
