Five things you need to know about East Greenwich today, Jan. 11.

 


Ad-Hoc Budget Committee: According to the agenda, the group is meeting with Town Manager Bill Sequino and Supt. Victor Mercurio to discuss consolidation and joint bidding this morning at Public Works at 8 a.m.

Hanaford PTG: The Parent-Teacher Group meets this morning at 9:30 in the cafeteria.

New Neighbors: The East Greenwich-Cowesett New Neighbors Club meets from 9:30 to 11 a.m. at the United Methodist Church. This month, local author Jayne M. DeRouin will discuss her book Keeping it Simple: Keys to Living an Uncomplicated Life. Board of Canvassers: On the agenda is the redistricting plan working its way through the state legislature and the board's budget for 2012-13. At Town Hall, conference room B, at 3 p.m.

Historic District Commission: The HDC meets earlier than usual, starting at 6 p.m. Individual hearings to begin at 6:30 in Council Chambers at Town Hall.
