It’s Thursday, and you’ve got no idea what you’ll do for the weekend. Patch is coming to the rescue with the best bets for how to spend your free time. Check out our picks for the local activities to hit and places to explore.
Now that it’s finally warming up outside, it’s time for one of our town’s great traditions, the Main Street Stroll, to kick off for the season tonight. Organized by Main Street Coordinator Bruce MacGunnigle, the strolls highlight our town's own unique specialty shops. Every stroll features over 50 Main Street artists and musicians demonstrating their skills and displaying their works.
Since its introduction, the Main Street Stroll has received many prestigious area honors, including being voted one of the “Top 20 Things to do in R.I.” by Yankee Magazine and winning the South County Tourism Council’s 2007 Starlight Award.
The strolls, happening downtown monthly through September, provide an enjoyable evening out for town residents and visitors.
