More EG Residents Named To Fall '12 Dean's Lists
The third of a series of articles listing area students who've been named to their school's dean's list.
This time of year, colleges and universities release the names of those students who've earned a spot on their Dean's List. Here are some of those who've been named. We will be running additional Dean's List articles in coming days.
These local students have been named to the University of Delaware's Dean's List for Fall 2012: Bryan Gilday and Philip Tornquist. To meet eligibility requirements for the Dean's List, a student must be enrolled full-time and earn a GPA of 3.33 or above for the semester.
Dr. Thomas F. Wylie, Senior Vice President and Provost at New England Institute of Technology, is pleased to announce the following students who have achieved Dean's List status for the quarter ending Dec. 22, 2012: Kyle Burk, Peter Butler, David Griggs, Kimberly MacDonald, Megan McNeill, Saffiyah Nelson, Kyle Oelofse, Matthew Pastore, Ian Prendergast, Justin Ross, Alfred Soucy, and Anthony Zonfrilli. Students must achieve a GPA of 3.6 or higher on a maximum scale of 4.0 to qualify.
Ainsley Nugent of East Greenwich has been named to the Dean's List at Clemson University for the fall 2012 semester. Nugent is majoring in Pre-Business. To be named to the Dean's List, a student achieved a grade-point average between 3.50 and 3.99 on a 4.0 scale.
Keene State College has released the Dean's List for the fall semester 2012. Among the 1,441 students named to the Dean's List are: Kateland Elizabeth Dittig, Chloe Rose Edmonds, Davis Glenn Fitch, Kelsey Lynn Orleck, Kelsey Jane Osborn, Max Mark Ruginski, and Elisabeth Jayne Thompson. The Dean's List designation is bestowed to those Keene State College undergraduates enrolled in a degree program who have completed a minimum of six credit hours in the semester, receiving no failing or incomplete grades. A 3.5 or higher grade point average on a 4.0 scale is required to earn the Dean's List honor.
Mollie Anderson, a freshman in communication, was named to the fall semester Dean's List at Bryant University.
Sacred Heart University, Fairfield, Conn., has announced the Dean's List for the fall semester 2012. To receive this honor, a student must achieve a 3.6 grade average, based on a 4.0 scale. The following students made the fall 2012 Dean's List: Paul Link, David Mandeville, and Helene Mayne.
Elizabeth Reilly earned a spot on the Loyola Marymount University Dean's List for the Fall 2012 semester. Students named to the Dean's list have completed 15 semester hours at LMU and earned a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or better. Additionally, a student must have completed all of his or her courses and never received an F in any course.
The following area residents were named to the the dean's list at Quinnipiac University for the Fall 2012 semester: Alexandra Markarian, Lauren Saunders, Chloe Sondler, Christina Zaroogian, and Alison Rossetti. To qualify for the dean's list, students must earn a grade point average of at least 3.5 with no grade lower than C. Full-time students must complete at least 14 credits in a semester, with at least 12 credits that have been graded on a letter grade basis to be eligible. Part-time students must complete at least six credits during a semester.
Drew University student Benjamin Kurose of East Greenwich (02818) has been named to the Dean's List for the Fall 2012 semester. In order to qualify for the Dean's List, students must earn a grade point average of 3.6 or above.
Katherine Neumann was named to the Fall 2012 Dean's List at Merrimack College in North Andover, Mass. To be eligible, a student must achieve a 3.25 grade point average or higher, based on a 4.0 grading system. Katherine is a Freshman in the School of Liberal Arts.
