Mug Shots Released Of Drug Raid Suspects
Police arrested Robert Campellone, Rob Campellone, and Kyle Campellone, of 236 Adirondack Drive, Friday.
The press released from the East Greenwich Police Department:
On June 8, 2012, at approximately 8:15 a.m., East Greenwich Police detectives and members of the Drug Enforcement Administration's Providence Area task force executed a search and seizure warrant at 236 Adirondack Drive, the home of Robert E. and Sharin Campellone, and their sons, Robert B. and Kyle C. Campellone. The warrant was based upon a several months long investigation involving drug activity in and around the residence. While conducting the search, detectives and agents located a marijuana growing operation inside the home. Detectives and agents seized over 6 pounds of marijuana. Additionally, over $31,000 in U.S. currency was seized. Charged in connection with the investigation was:
- Robert E. Campellone, age 58, one count of manufacturing/cultivating marijuana, one count of possession of marijuana 1 to 5 kilograms, and one count of maintaining a common narcotics nuisance.
- Robert B. Campellone, age 23, one count of possession of marijuana with intent to deliver, one count of possession of marijuana 1-5 kilograms, and one count of manufacturing/cultivating marijuana.
- Kyle C. Campellone, age 22, one count of possession of marijuana with intent to deliver, one count of possession of marijuana 1-5 kilograms, and one count of manufacturing/cultivating marijuana.
They were arraigned Friday evening before Justice of the Peace Michael McCaffrey. All three subjects were ordered held without bail. They will appear in Kent County District Court on Monday, June 11, 2012.

So glad they were caught. They have been nothing short of a nightmare for so many families. What i cannot understand is how or why "mom" has stuck with this slime bag for so many years, subjecting her children to their father's influence. If she suffered some symptoms of an abused wife, she should at least have protected her children by getting out with them in tow. I have no sympathy for any of them.

Janice, who are we to judge how or why the mom stuck by her family? Noone will ever know what really went on behind closed doors...And it must be a wonderful feeling to believe your family life is perfect and you are a perfect parent..But where is your compassion? This is obviously a troubled family, so instead of spewing venom at them, pray they can get through this horrible ordeal. Remember, when you point a finger at someone, there are 4 more pointing right back at you...

People that live in glass houses should not throw stones, specially if you have kids..Why do we take pleasure in someone else's misery? Why not care for one another, lets try being compassionate maybe offering them a hand??? See thats the problem with us, we are to caught up in pointing fingers, this is a family who needs help so why not give them a hand?? Lets not kick them when their down. For those who dont agree, it must be hard being perfect!! My thoughts & prayers go out to you Sharon, may the lord give you strenght in these trying times...

If you are a mother I would hope you understand why she stayed with her children, even if she knew the full extent of the situation what could she do? She wanted to be near her children and wanted better for them. Shame on all of you who blame her and want to see her destroyed as well. Judgment is not for us to pass down, it's for God!

I know this family personally. When the kids were younger they were great boys, and very bright. The influences of a parent can have dire consequences on the minds of children. Unfortunately this is a perfect example. I have known their mom Sharin for many years and she was also a very loving, caring parent. Always putting her children first. She tried her hardest but was fighting a lossing battle. Trust me, it was much harder for her to stay in her home and witness what was going on, then to leave. But she loved her kids to much to leave. If you don't know someone, or their circumstances, please don't condemn them.

Donna: what about the neighbors who had to put up with syringes on their lawns and all the undesirables in their neighborhood? These were not "kids"...they were grown men who were engaged in criminal activity. If Sharon were such a loving and caring parent, she would have moved out with her sons when they were younger or gotten help for them. "She loved her kids too much to leave." Well, she'll be able to see her kids now - IN JAIL, WHERE THEY BELONG!!!

I feel bad for these kids(young men) and the neighbors in this area. These boys appear to have not been given a good atmosphere to grow and develop. The neighbors did not move into this neighborhood expecting this type of enviroment. I am not judging the mother but I do not feel bad for her. From alot of the comments I read she appears to be a nurse that was hard working and had quite a large amount of friends that would have helped her to remove her boys if she had to. Not judging her but don't ask me to feel bad for her, her boys I feel bad for, Not sure they had a fair chance .

Claiming that these people were responsible for a syringe is absolutely ludicrous NOBODY is doing heroin because they were buying pot. All of you that are condemning this whole family have some serious examination to do. I'm relatively certain these people had a medical marijuana license and it is not a stretch for the mother to have been under the impression that they were Operating within the constraints of his license. And the house has been owned by 1998 so it's not at all valid to say that their possessions were a result of their illicit enterprise. You people passing judgement are no better than this family. The neighbors have ruined 4 more lives than the family themselves ever did. We're talking about pot here. Not meth or heroin.

Don't think anybody said pot was the gateway drug to heroin. But reports found on WPRO and elsewhere stated that syringes with traces of heroin were taken during the raid. Circumstantial to the syringes found nearby outside? Yes, but strains of heroin can be tested and matched...not looking good, eh?

EG Lurker, there were no syringes taken during the raid. There have been syringes found around the neighborhood, including one the day before the raid a few properties away.

More than one "east greenwich indiviual uses heroin" considering i was one of the ones that did habitually for years. I know. match strains of heroin, one word -inconclusive- stop watching law and order. If you havent had a heroin habit you'll never understand the lengths one will exceed in order to maintane. By no means does this excuse the actions of a user. But might make it more feasible for the so called "NORMAL" ( consumed by societal norms) to understand....
