Edward L. Verrier, 72, a longtime resident of East Greenwich, died Friday, Aug. 10, surrounded by his family. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Nancy A. (Ranallo) Verrier and two children, Cheryl A. and Stephen E. Verrier. He was born in Providence.

He worked for many years in road construction as a sales manager. He was a 1958 graduate of Warwick Vets High School and a longtime member of the East Greenwich Boys Home Association.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, Aug. 14, at 10 a.m., at Our Lady of Mercy Church, 65 Third St. Calling hours will be Monday, Aug. 13, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Hill Funeral Home.
