George R. Congdon, Jr., 82, died Saturday, June 30, at Roger Williams Medical Center. He was married to Frances A. (Keyes) Congdon. They celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary earlier this year.

Congdon was born in Providence. He was a member of the United Methodist Church and the King Solomon Lodge 16 F.&A.M., now affliated with Manchester Lodge 12, Coventry.

He was the father of the late George R. Congdon III.

The funeral service will be held Tuesday at 10 a.m. at Carpenter-Jenks Funeral Home, 659 East Greenwich Avenue, West Warwick. Calling hours are Monday from 6 to 8 p.m.
