Late afternoon on Labor Day at the Greenwich Club.

The dead leaves in the Greenwich Club middle pool told the story: summer is fading. To grab one last bit of it, members flocked to the club Monday.

There were the annual Labor Day cannonball contests, plenty of dads tossing kids, and a snack bar with fewer and fewer items left to sell.

And as people left, there was that telltale sign: they took their chairs with them.

Ahh, the mark of true summer's end in East Greenwich. We have so many wonderful memories of summers spent at the Greenwich Club. A truly wonderful place for children to create friendships and the lasting memories that go along with them.
