Police Log: A Very Drunk Driver, Tree Service Truck Tampering
Information about the following incidents was supplied by the East Greenwich Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.
Thursday, Oct. 11
4:48 p.m. – Police arrested Bob Angell, 28, of Gardner Road in West Kingston, for driving with a suspended license after he was stopped on First Avenue near Proctor Street. A routine check turned up the suspension. Angell was issued a court summons. A passenger drove the car from the scene.
Friday, Oct. 12
1:35 p.m. – A resident of Shoreside Apartments told police he thought someone was tampering with his circuit box. He said he had placed scotch tape over the corners to catch anyone tampering. He said there were fingerprints on the tape. Police assured the man the box was fine and that he could turn on his lights.
3:44 p.m. – A representative of EG Tree Service reported someone had tampered with two of the company’s trucks by loading paper towels and wood chips into the fuel tanks.
Saturday, Oct. 13
12:02 a.m. – Police arrested Dulce Cruz, 19, of King Street, for driving with a suspended license after she was stopped for speeding on Division Street near Overbrook Road. Routine checks turned up the license suspension. Police issued Cruz a court summons as well as a speeding ticket. A passenger drove the car from the scene.
2:34 a.m. – Police arrested Albert Dominguez, 21, of Saint Lo Road in Framingham, Mass., for driving while intoxicated after he was stopped for speeding and crossing the double yellow line on South County Trail. According to the report, Dominguez’s eyes were very bloodshot and his breath smelled of alcohol. He told police he was coming from a club in Providence and was trying to get home to Framingham. After failing a field sobriety test, police arrested Dominguez and took him to the station for processing. His breath alcohol test came back 0.212 first, then 0.211. (The legal limit is .08.) Police issued a court summons, and tickets for speeding and leaving his lane of travel. He was released to family members.
11 p.m. – Police issued a No Trespass Order for a patron of Norman’s Tap on Main Street.
Sunday, Oct. 14
11:47 a.m. – Police arrested Kyle Adams, 27, of Post Road in Warwick, for disorderly conduct and assault and battery after an incident with a woman on Main Street. Witnesses told police they’d seen Adams and a woman fighting on the street and that Adams was the aggressor. Because of a prior record, Adams was processed at the station then transferred to the ACI.
