1:40 a.m. – Two men were assaulted on Main Street, one badly beaten in the head, following arguments with an unknown suspect. Police were called to Centro Martini on Main Street for a report of a fight. A small crowd had gathered up the street a bit and police found a man lying face down in a driveway, bleeding from the head. The man, from Warwick, had multiple cuts on his face and swelling on the left side of his face. One witness said the injured man had been yelling at the suspect, who then turned to confront him. The two began to fight. When the Warwick man fell down, the suspect allegedly began to stomp on his head. The suspect fled down Queen Street with another man. Two other witnesses, who according to the report appeared to be drunk, said there were multiple assailants.
The assault on the second man, from Cranston, took place in Centro Martini, where the man was punched. He had blood on his face and a cut at his hairline. The Warwick man refused to fill out a witness statement and said he didn’t want to press charges. The Cranston man completed a statement but also said he did not want to press charges.

4:38 p.m. – An Exeter man reported a missing iPad. He said had placed it on the hood of his truck in front of his business on South County Trail and that he thought he drove away with the iPad still on the hood. He didn’t realize it was missing for several hours. He searched the parking lot but did not find the device.
