EG Historic Preservation Society meeting: At the monthly meeting of the East Greenwich Historic Preservation Society on Monday, February 20, Kelly Sullivan will present Murders Most Foul, the story of four muders in two related Hope Valley families in the 1920s. Kelly is a local writer and storyteller; this story of the Crandalls and the Kenyons is the subject of her new book, "Because I Love You." The meeting, at 110 King Street, begins with a potluck supper at 6:30; the presentation begins at 7:30. The meeting is free and open to the public. Growing Your Business workshop: The Coventry Economic Development Commission is hosting a series of free seminars and workshops designed to help businesses increase their market share and help those wishing to start a new business to increase their probability of success. Winter Lite: I’m beginning to LOVE our not-so-cold winter. Okay, so I probably won’t get a chance to use the cross country skis at Goddard Park this winter. That I can run, walk, even ride my bike on these almost-warm winter days is pretty wonderful! We’ve got another one of them today, with high temperatures in the mid-40-degree range. Every day that it’s not freezing cold is a day that it’s not freezing cold.

Being grateful: Families in North Kingstown are in mourning today after a crash early Sunday morning on Shippeetown Road killed two NK residents and injured two others. Let’s keep that in mind today as we go about our business.
