Teen Center: The teen center is just what it sounds like — a safe place for teenagers to escape their parents! Bob Houghtaling and a few other adults staff the event, held in the gymnasium at Eldredge School. From 6 to 8 p.m.
Meadowbrook Farms Pre-School: The East Greenwich Public Preschool, which combines children with special needs with typically developing children, is looking for peer models for the 2012-13 school year. In interested, contact the EG School Department.
Wood-fired pizza night: Every Friday night you can enjoy Bravo's wood fired pizza and salads at the Knights of Columbus Hall at 1265 Tower Hill Rd, North Kingstown. Free ice cream for the kids with pizza purchase. Fast take out available too. This is open to the public. $12.
Providence Restaurant Week ends Saturday: A few local restaurants are participating in Providence Restaurant Week — which lasts throught Jan. 28 — including 1149, Grille on Main, La Masseria, Siena Restaurant and Meritage. The cost is $14.95 for a three-course lunch or $29.95 for a three-course dinner special.
Avenger Sports: EG Boys Basketball takes on Davies tonight at 5:15 for JV and 7 for varsity, at home. Go Avengers!
