The laughter could be heard from outside. The students of Meadowbrook Farms were positively beside themselves with glee watching the two clowns – Joel and Rob Ringling – from Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus bumble and fumble their way through some pretty neat tricks, including one on the video clip here.

They were there to promote reading on Dr. Suess's birthday, in particular they highlighted the Dr. Suess book If I Ran the Circus. They were fun and funny, and left the children with these words: "Remember, reading is very important. The more you read, the more you know."

Ringling was not there "to promote reading" they were there to promote their circus. That a public school would allow this type of shameless promotion gives the appearance that they are in full support of Ringling's animal abuse. Something I think the kids would find horrifying if they were educated regarding the abuse. I guess that is too much to expect from a school. Shameless promotion is a lot easier and more fun than actual education.
