East Greenwich Farmers Market: EG Farmers Market is today from 3 to 6 p.m. on Academy Field by Rector Street. But avoid driving on Rector Street if possible. The best place to park? St. Luke’s lot or on the north side of Church Street.
EGHS Cross Country Meet: The Avengers will be competing against three other teams at this afternoon’s meet at Goddard Park - Hope, Pilgrim and Classical high schools. The meet begins at 4 p.m.
EG Historic Preservation Society meeting: Professor Michael A. Rice of URI will tell about a trout farm in Carolina, R.I., that was established by the Hazard farmily of Peace Dale in 1877. The meeting, at 110 King Street (the Old Jail), is open to the public and begins with a potluck supper at 6:30. Please call Susan Curado at 884-4643 for reservations.
Job Club meeting: Job Club is a community-based organization that meets weekly to exchange ideas and information for an improved job search.
