Town Building Inspector John Hoyle ordered the house at 236 Adirondack Drive to be vacated Friday afternoon, deeming it unfit for human occupation. This follows a police raid there earlier in the day that resulted in arrests of three occupants on drug charges.

Hoyle cited numerous code vilations in addition to unsanitary conditions at the house, which sits back from the street off a long driveway.

Police descended on the house after getting a warrant signed by a judge Thursday night. Robert E. Campellone, 58, and his two sons, Rob, 23, and Kyle, 22, were arrested at the house. The senior Campellone has owned the house since 1998, according to town records.

During the raid, police found marijuana and indoor plant growing equipment, including special high-wattage lights.

Police Chief Tom Coyle said he called in the town building inspector and fire marshal after he saw the inside of the house.

"The insides of the house are so deplorable,” he said.

Sharon Campellone, who's married to Robert, was at the house at the time of the arrests. She packed some things and left, according to Coyle.

According to Hoyle, when a house is condemned, a resident must resolve code violations and the house must pass inspection by the town before it can be reoccupied.
