Last Thursday, students from Our Lady of Mercy School took part in a walkathon that's become an annual fundraising event for the private Catholic elementary school.

This year's Walkathon raised a whopping $10,000, which will be used for school programs such as robotics, as well as for field trips and to help improve technology at the school.

Paws, the mascot from the Pawtucket Red Sox, was also in attendance to encourage the students, faculty and parents along the way.
