Yes, It's Still October And We're Expecting Snow

Here in southern Rhode Island, with a forecast of 1 to 3 inches overnight, we're better off than our northern neighbors.

If you haven't pulled out your gloves, hats, snow boots and shovels yet - now's the time. According to the National Weather Service, we can expect 1 to 3 inches of snow in southern Rhode Island overnight, bookended by rain - a sloppy, chilly mess.

The rain will continue today, with total rainfall of a quarter to a half inch. Northeast winds will be around 16 mph with gusts as high as 29 mph, according to the report.

There could be some thunder tonight, with the rain turning to all snow after 3 a.m., with a low temperature of 32 degrees.

On Sunday, snow is likely in the morning, with a chance of rain into the afternoon. New snow accumulation of less than 1 inch is predicted.
