Nice to wake up Thursday morning and see every vehicle parked on the south side of King Street with a parking ticket. I must have missed the "two hour only parking" sign.
Interesting this is enforced on the last day of January in the middle of the night during a rain/ wind storm when the only cars parked on the street belong to the renters that live in the Harborside.
I can’t seem to recall seeing any vehicles parked on King Street being chalked in the summer months. It be nice if the ordinances that impact quality of life like absurdly loud motorcycles at 1 a.m. in the summer months were enforced as vigorously as two-hour parking in the winter.

I am confused- there is no "Two Hour Only" parking sign...? Is that the rule? The signs on my side only say no parking beyond them (near the intersection). Why did all of the cars get tickets? If that is the law there should be signs. So frustrating! There are signs on the other side of the street that say "Resident Parking Only" for certain hours. And, not all of us rent ;)

Interesting, because last night many students in the High School's production of Fiddler on the Roof recieved a $20 parking ticket for parking in the same area we've always parked for the past few years.

It's nice to see the East Greenwich Police are cracking down on the lawless areas of the Harborside and EG High School. I for one feel safer knowing the EGPD are out there crushing crime.

Frenchtown road...I think your comment re: lawless may be better directed to the hill people. Seems they have a problem with port o potties being flipped over. Harborside4life/ EG student. I share your frustration. I have lived on King St for the past six months and have never had an issue in terms of parking. Then out of nowhere the whole street gets ticketed without warning/ notice. Some better signage is in order. Maybe EG is planning on getting some big acts in here for the summer concert series and needs the extra revenue.

Wow, some strong feelings out there...I think most of us would agree that we need confirmation of what the parking laws are downtown so we can ALL enjoy living in the area, and/or patronizing the businesses without fear of being ticketed. The overnight parking map appears to show only one side of King St has restrictions (?)- http://www.eastgreenwichri.com/Portals/0/Uploads/Documents/Town%20clerk/overnight_parking_map.pdf
