Living Nativity Tour
United Methodist Church, 1558 S County Trl, East Greenwich, RI | Get Directions »
FREE
Our open house is a great way to welcome residents into our church and share the spirit of this Christmas season with them.
A free Living Nativity Tour will take place during the open house, with live reenactment of the Christmas story by members of the church, both young and old. (there might even be a few friendly four-legged creatures on the premises.) The Living Nativity Tour will feature scenes from the town of Bethlehem on the night of Christ’s birth. Visitors will be guided through the walking tour, which will be lit by candlelight and torches. The guides will be members of our church, who will narrate the story as the tour progresses.
Inside the church, open house festivities will include hot and cold refreshments, as well as live music performed in the sanctuary. We are very excited to feature the musical talents of many of our members. There will be choral music, as well as other instrumentalists and singers presenting seasonal music and songs.
Our open house and Living Nativity Tour is a wonderful way to rediscover the true meaning of Christmas. We allow ourselves to become so busy with holiday preparations at this time of year that we often forget to slow down and simply enjoy the message of peace and hope that is celebrated in Christmas. It’s our pleasure at EGUMC to share that message with our community on December 15th. RAINDATE: December 16th

More About United Methodist Church
More than 200 years after its founding, the EGUMC took a big step when it decided to leave its Main Street location and build a new church on South County Trail. The congregation moved into its new space in 2007 and continues to grow and thrive.
The EGUMC is a congregation of "seekers, doubters and believers" brought together to follow Jesus Christ.
The parish has made a tradition of annual mission trips to John's Island in South Carolina as well as regular outreach efforts closer to home. In addition, it offers a number of small groups for education and fellowship.
