The Excellence in Education Forums:
Best Practices in Length of the School Day and School Year
This the second in a series of public forums to discuss how schools and communities can ensure the
best education for students in every classroom. Join us for a panel discussion with educators and administrators, followed by an open discussion with members of the community.
The discussion will cover the several relevant topics including the Pros & Cons of:
- Longer School Day
- Increased number of School Days per year
- Scheduling Strategies
- RI Board of Regent Requirements
- Alternative Classroom Time including Evenings and Weekends
These events are a result of the work of East Greenwich's "Commission on Retaining High Quality Teachers." Public
involvement is critical as we continue to build an outstanding educational program in our town.
Join us on Monday, May 21st at 7:00p.m. at Cole Middle School (chorus room). Please click on this link to register:
