Recycles Pickup This Week: This is the week to pull your big blue toter to the curb for pickup on your regular trash pickup day In addition, the town is collecting yard waste every week this month. For more information, check out the town’s DPW website here.

Learning & the Brain in Early Children Ed: Early childhood education expert Paula Carreiro will speak about a child’s brain and the importance of educational practices which promote its development. At Rocky Hill School at 9 a.m.

EGHS Booster Club meeting: The monthly meeting takes place in the Community Room at the police department. All are welcome. 7 p.m.

Universal Children’s Night at Cole: The Cole Community has been working all fall to bring you an amazing array of international learning opportunities, some serious, some fun, all remarkable. There will be food, music, games, art and lots of Cole Middle School positive energy. From 5 to 8 p.m. Adults $10, children $5.

Want to be a Boy Scout? Troop 1 EG welcomes new Boy Scouts, and Cub Scouts who are transitioning upward. They meet Wednesdays at 80 Queen St. 7 p.m. For more information email: troop1eg.committee@gmail.com.

Annual Hill and Harbour Turkey Trot 5K Is Nov. 30: The third-annual Hill and Harbour Turkey Trot takes place the Saturday after Thanksgiving.
