Diversity In EG? Let’s Talk About It

Your guide for life in East Greenwich today, Sept. 25.

Diversity 101: The East Greenwich Community is invited to attend a forum presented by Bob Houghtaling and featuring Dr. Lewis Dodley. Dodley tours the country as a youth speaker engaging his audience on topics that span from youth issues to nonviolence to substance abuse. His energetic and interactive style makes for a memorable forum. The event takes place in the auditorium at St. Luke's Church. For more information, contact Bob Houghtaling at (401) 230-2246.

Water Contamination Advisory: Kent County Water Authority advises its customers to boil tap water before using it, or to use bottled water. Water tests showed elevated levels of E. coli bacteria from a sample taken Friday. The boil-water advisory is expected to remain in effect at least into today. Click here for answers to questions about water usage

New Recycle Pickup Schedule continues this week: If your trash is picked up today, you should put your big new blue recycle container out too. Face the container with the front facing the street – all your recyclables need to be inside the container. For visuals, check out the town’s info about the program here, or watch this amazing video, attached, of my very own container being emptied!
