First Baptist's Fall Rummage Sale Returns

Your guide for life in East Greenwich today, Oct. 18.

Trash pickup delayed a day this week: Because of the Columbus Day holiday, trash pickup is delayed a day all week. If your regular day is Friday, your trash will be picked up tomorrow. 

NO recycle pickup this week: Just a reminder – we are on an every-other-week pickup schedule for recyclables and this is the “other” week, so just trash goes to the curb this week.

Goddard Park Farmers Market: The farmers market at Goddard Park is down to its final weeks. Fall vegetables, plants, baked goods, and more. Off Ives Road, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. (last day is Oct. 25).

Rummage sale: The First Baptist Church is holding their huge Fall Rummage Sale starting Friday afternoon. Men's and women's and kid's clothing of all sizes. Lots of books. Kitchen wear, tools, electronics, furniture, jewelry, toys, crafts, and other assorted flotsam and jetsam. 4 p.m. Friday and it continues Saturday at 8 a.m.

Teen Center: The Teen Center meets from 6 to 8 p.m. at the gym at Eldredge Elementary. All teens are welcome, as are adults who’d like to volunteer.

URI Concert Band in concert: At the URI Fine Artts Concert Hall at 8 p.m.
