Five Things: Meeting On Every-Other-Week Recycling Plan

Your guide for life in East Greenwich today, July 23.

Meeting on new recycling plan: Starting sometime in September, EG residents will get a large (96-gallon) recycling bin and that one bin will only go out to the curb every OTHER week. That’s a big change, but one that will save the town money. Tonight there’s a meeting about the new program at Swift Community Center at 7 p.m. If you have questions or concerns, this is a great opportunity to get answers.

Zoning Board meeting: The Zoning Board meets in Council Chambers at Town Hall, starting at 7 p.m. Click here for their agenda.

Networking at Blu: Bring your business cards and a donation and be ready to mingle and soak up the waterfront views at Blu on the Water Tuesday evening starting at 5 p.m. There will be complimentary appetizers, amazing raffle prizes, live music, and a cash bar. It’s free but raffle proceeds and donations will go toward Veteran Angler Charters (a nonprofit organization in R.I., Mass. and Conn.). R.S.V.P. sbagwell@primeres.com
