CALL FOR POETRY!

The Friends of EAST GREENWICH FREE LIBRARY will celebrate April 2014 - National Poetry Month with poetry teas, readings, and our own Poetry Corner filled with original poetry. Join the celebration! Submit your poem and have it hung in the Poetry Corner for all to read and enjoy. Poems must be appropriate for all ages, one page or less in length, with a readable font greater than 11-point. We’re looking for unpublished poems that move us, that might make us laugh or cry, or teach us something new. We like both free verse and traditional forms. Send your poem in the body of an email to friendseglibrary@gmail.com (no attachments, please).

Place this information on bottom of each piece submitted: Name, Phone Number (just in case we need to contact you).

Please format the subject line of the email with your name and the word “Poetry Corner 2014” to help us track it, like this: “John Smith – Poetry Corner 2014”
