East Greenwich Historic Preservation Society

Denis Roch of West Warwick will tell the story of the  Majestic Building at the monthly meeting of the East Greenwich Historic Preservation Society on Monday, April 21st.  The 5-story Majestic Hotel built in 1910 in Arctic, was the focal point of the busiest shopping area in the state.  Sadly, it was torn down in 1999.  Mr. Roch is a long-time member of the Pawtuxet Valley Preservation Society who has done extensive research on the history of the area.

The meeting begins with a pot luck supper at 6:30 in the Old Jail, 110 King Street.  The program begins at 7:30.  The meeting is free and open to the public.  Call Sue Curado at 884-4643 or e-mail her at l encu@cox.net.
