On April 26 & 27, joined by string quartet and piano, the Providence Singers will present a concert celebrating American composers. From the colonial era composer William Billings to 20th-century masters Aaron Copland and Samuel Barber, this program is full of your favorites! The performance will also feature new music by Norweigian-American composer Ola Gjeilo and beloved works by Morten Lauridsen. Don't miss a program highlight – the world première of Bears by Boston composer Elena Ruehr, commissioned by the Providence Singers.
