EG's John DePetro Wins Best Talk Show in RI Monthly Contest
The East Greenwich resident's WPRO talk show was named "best talk show" by readers of Rhode Island Monthly.
Love him or hate him, there's no doubt John DePetro knows how to stir and engage his audience.
The East Greenwich resident also has earned the distinction of hosting the best talk show in Rhode Island, according to Rhode Island Monthly in their annual Best of Rhode Island contest.
"I am honored the people have chosen me, voted for me, and continue to support the work I do on WPRO, " DePetro said. " I have always wanted to do a talk show that was entertaining and informative, and it is rewarding that so many people enjoy my work, and took the time to vote me 'best talk show.'"
The award follows DePetro's winning the 2014 Associated Press award for Best Talk Show and he has been filling in for Michael Savage on Savage's nationally syndicated show.
