Last Week In EG: Water, Water, Everywhere …

Shortly before 1 p.m. Wednesday, the Rhode Island Department of Health announced that the boil-water advisory that has been in place for customers of the Kent County Water Authority and for Potowomut customers of the City of Warwick Water since Sunday, has now been lifted.

Water Bored
I cannot believe the frawfrawlaw that developed over the Kent County Water Authority's recent E coli incident. As far as I can see, the only difference with Kent County having one is it's their first. Certainly no one raised this much stink when North Kingstown had to boil their water regularly over the past few decades. I think they might have gotten on top of it now with their new tank, but it was a regular event hardly worth mentioning anywhere in the state but North Kingstown.

Hodgson Considers Running For AG
State Sen. Dawson Hodgson (Dist. 35-NK, EG, SK, Narr.) is considering a run for state attorney general in 2014, he said Thursday. “I haven’t made my final decision but it’s something I’d like to do,” he said. Hodgson, a Republican, lives in North Kingstown.
