Unsung Heroes: URI Celebrates Librarians

At least two of those librarians have links to EG – congrats Holly Barton and Connie Zack.

Librarians are special people. They are there when we need them – to find a good book, research obscure topics, look the other way when we giggle too loudly with our friends.

Most of the time, they labor in relative obscurity. But URI recently recognized 50 of its Graduate School of Library and Information Science alums, including Holly Barton and Connie Zach from East Greenwich.

Barton is school librarian at Chariho Middle School and Hope Valley Elementary School in the Chariho Regional School District.

Zach is a former library media specialist for the EG School District. Her last post was at Cole Middle School.

Congrats to both women!
