Viral Home Depot Flash Mob Video Marriage Proposal Has EG Roots

In the "unlikely as all get out" department, this marriage proposal ranks. A gay man proposes to his boyfriend via flash mob at a Home Depot (!) in Salt Lake City (!!). But the best part, for us in little old East Greenwich? The song used in the proposal – Somebody Love You – was executive produced by none other than Peter Thomas (a.k.a Pete Walsh, EGHS Class of 2009).

And the performer? Betty Who isn't not from EG (she's from Australia, actually), but she was one of the featured speakers at The Living Room, a salon series created by EG's Deb Walsh, at the United Methodist Church last April.

So, big congratulations to the newly engaged Dustin and Spencer, and to Peter and Betty, who are hitting it big in the wider world out there. Woo hoo!

You can check out Betty Who's talk at The Living Room here.
