Music On the Hill 2012 Music Festival

Music on the Hill will present its annual music festival between June 7th and 16th in the communities of Warwick, East Greenwich and North Kingstown.  Music on the Hill features Rhode Island born-and-bred musicians who have established impressive music careers all over the country, returning home to share their talents with the Rhode Island community they love.

This year, our two-week festival is an homage to the season of spring.  This time of metaphorical growth and rebirth has inspired plenty of wonderful music, and we have included one of these great compositions in each of our six concerts, including Beethoven’s Spring Sonata and Robert Schumann’s song “Spring Night.”

We are also very excited to welcome as our guests the world-renowned Apple Hill String Quartet (whose violist, Michael Kelley, is a Rhode Island native).  They will perform both as a quartet and in combination with our own Music on the Hill musicians as part of our June 10th concert, “Beethoven, Borodin & Beyond.”  The concert will take place at St. Bernard Catholic Church in North Kingstown at 7:00 pm.
