The Kent Center's 2nd Annual Swing into Spring Celebration

Join The Kent Center for its 2nd Annual Swing into Spring Celebration. This gala reception and concert features the Beantown Swing Orchestra, an energetic 18-piece orchestra lead by two fabulous vocalists, including American Idol alum and top ten finalist, John Stevens.  Beantown Swing is the future of big band swing.  Their appeal is universal—entertaining to both lovers of and novices to the swing genre; the young, the young-at-heart, and the not-so-young; and anyone who just likes to have a good time.  They have been playing venues in Boston and beyond for several years and have attracted quite a following.  They released their first album entitled Trolley Songs in 2011.  In summer 2012, their latest album, entitled Stevens Swinging Session, will debut.  Guests to the event will also enjoy a night of dancing.  Professional swing dancers will both entertain and partner with guests who are willing to learn a step or two.  The Crowne Plaza’s Garden Pavilion provides an elegant atmosphere for guests to relax and enjoy a memorable night out.
