Alex and Ani Moving and Growing

New location just across the street

The Alex and Ani store next to La Masseria on Main Street has moved across the street to the corner of Main and Queen streets.

The new location at 232 Main has been renovated inside and out, with workers adding finishing touches on last week just before the inventory was moved across the street.

Previously the building had housed Sprigs, which has moved down the street next to Steve Fillippou’s Twisted Pizza.

According to employees, the East Greenwich location was what is called a “pop-up” store. It has been very successful, with reported great foot traffic, prompting the move to a permanent site.

The store has carried the base collection of Alex and Ani offerings, and will now also offer the necklace line.

Based in Cranston, Alex and Ani was created by Carolyn Rafaelian who gave the company the names of two of her daughters.

The business was founded 10 years ago according to the website, becoming successful very rapidly.

Rafaelian’s family was in the jewelry business and she gained her skills as an apprentice to her father.
