This week, AAA New England estimates that 1.76 million people in New England will travel at least 50 miles by car over the Independence Day holiday weekend, a drop of about 0.9 percent from 2012.
Traffic is expected to be highest on Wednesday, July 3, and Sunday, July 7, AAA reported.
In Rhode Island, the price for 87-octane unleaded gas fell to $3.59 per gallon, a drop of four cents from the week before, the Providence Journal reported.

- Properly inflate your tires
