Tails To Teach, a local East Greenwich non-profit, has been awarded a $39,000 grant from The RI Foundation to expand their existing humane education program in RI’s under-served urban schools. Working in the classroom with local rescue dogs who are now registered pet-assisted therapy (PAT) dogs, Tails To Teach (TTT) helps children explore and develop the character traits of kindness, compassion and empathy. Tails To Teach still needs individual and corporate sponsors to support this unique, in-school program that benefits kids and animals, so please visit www.tailstoteach.org or contact laura@tailstoteach.org for more information.
