Kelly Michaud named Culinary and Event Planner for The Savory Affair

The Savory Affair Event Planning & Design, the region’s new premiere special event planning and management company, today announced it has named Kelly Michaud as Culinary and Event Planner.

Michaud creates distinctive ideas for entertaining from menu planning to full scale event design. A graduate of Johnson and Wales University in Culinary Arts, Michaud began her journey at La Laiterie in Providence, Rhode Island where she studied under Chef Matt Jennings, a James Beard Award nominee.

With more than a decade of experience in fundraising and event planning, Michaud most recently served as co-chair for the Huntington Disease Foundation and Kent Hospital Foundation. She enjoys creating culinary masterpieces and making event spaces look unique and beautiful in design to accompany her creations.

The Savory Affair features a custom suite of special event planning and management components, including location scouting, procurement of beverages, catering, and floral design services, as well as venue décor, guest list management, invitations, music, party favors, photography, and onsite event management.

A sister company to The Savory Grape Wine Shop, The Savory Affair offers extensive knowledge and a deep appreciation for beverages served at any event. Menu suggestions feature ideal food and wine pairings. Proprietor Jessica Granatiero, owner and founder of The Savory Grape Wine Shop, launched the new business as a natural progression of the passion for all things food and wine and bringing people together.
